Cardinals blast Yellow Jackets

Ball State rolled to a 65-47 victory Wednesday night at Georgia Tech in a campus game for the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. The Cardinals (6-4, 2-1 road) led 31-15 at halftime en route to the win. Jarron Coleman paced BSU with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting including 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also recorded five rebounds and four assists. Kyle Mallers contributed 11 points, seven boards and two steals. Brachen Hazen added 10 points, three caroms and two steals.

Huskies roll past Seahawks

Washington cruised to an 81-59 home win Wednesday night over Seattle to improve to 8-2 overall and 7-1 at home. The Huskies outscored the Seahawks 49-26 in the second half of the victory. Isaiah Stewart paced Washington with 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting plus 5-of-8 at the charity stripe. He also pulled down 13 rebounds. Quade Green contributed 20 points and three assists. Jaden McDaniels added 10 points, five boards and four dimes.

Prediction:

Washington is playing perhaps a little better than it really is, while Ball State isn't quite as good as the thrashing it put on Georgia Tech the other day but is still a very solid team. I think the spread is about on line here, so I'm instead going to focus on the total. In a gymnasium that neither team will be as comfortable in and a pair of squads that rely on strong defense, I'm going to take the under in this spot. The Cardinals have not allowed more than 54 points in their last two games and should be able to make the game a bit ugly.
