Falcons fall at home to Army

Air Force dropped to 4-6 on the season last Saturday with a 66-61 home loss to the Black Knights. The Falcons led 40-23 at halftime before blowing the entirety of the advantage in the second half. Lavelle Scottie paced Air Force with 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting including 2-of-2 on 3-point tries. He also pulled down 15 rebounds. Ryan Swan added 10 points, four boards and three dimes. The Falcons shot 21-of-48 from the field and 8-of-20 from 3-point range plus 11-of-24 on free throws. Air Force held Army to 23-of-62 shooting.

Wolverines hold off upset-minded WMU

Michigan outscored in-state foe Western Michigan 40-34 in the second half last Saturday on its way to a 70-62 win. Charles Matthews led the Wolverines (11-0) with 25 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 11-of-16 at the free throw line. Zavier Simpson contributed 15 points, five boards, three assists and two steals. Jordan Poole added 14 points, four steals and three rebounds. Michigan shot 24-of-54 from the floor, 7-of-18 from 3-point range and 15-of-25 from the charity stripe.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Air Force

The Falcons are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games. Air Force is 2-5 ATS in its last seven road games.

The Wolverines are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games. Michigan is 1-4 ATS in its last five home games versus a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.

The Wolverines have played four games against teams outside the top 200 and only beaten one of them by more than 23 points. Air Force isn't very good, but U-M tends to pull off the gas pedal against lesser foes and this could be no different. The Falcons have only been blown out once this season and I think they can keep this one within 26.
