The 21st-ranked Tennessee Volunteers are big favorites at home this afternoon versus the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Can Tennessee roll to the win by enough to cover the number?

Gamecocks race past Hornets
Jacksonville State rolled to a 92-80 victory Wednesday night at home versus Delaware State to improve to 4-7 overall and 3-1 at home. The Gamecocks led by a score of 48-39 at halftime and continued to control the action after the break. Jacara Cross paced Jacksonville State with 20 points off the bench on 9-of-10 shooting including 2-of-3 at the free throw line. He also pulled down four rebounds. Ty Hudson accounted for 19 points, six boards and three assists. Derek St. Hilaire tallied 18 points, five caroms and four assists as a reserve. Martin Roub had 14 points in 20 minutes of action. Kayne Henry added 11 points, five rebounds, five dimes and two steals.
Vols drop second straight
Tennessee fell by a 78-66 score Wednesday night at Cincinnati to drop to 7-3 overall and 0-1 on the road. The Volunteers were outscored 40-32 in the second half of the defeat. John Fulkerson led Tennessee with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting plus 2-of-2 at the charity stripe. He also recorded four steals and two rebounds. College Basketball Betting Trends
The Gamecocks are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. Jacksonville State is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five Saturday games.
The Volunteers are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games. Tennessee is 1-5 ATS in its last six games overall.
The Volunteers are in a rut right now and this could be a bit of a trap game with several more top 100 opponents coming up. Jacksonville State hasn't fared well against good competition this season, but appears to be improving as it recently beat an Evansville team by 26 points that previously has win over Kentucky. I am putting money on the Gamecocks to stay within the number here.
