Terriers stun Tar Heels
Wofford stunned previously 17th-ranked North Carolina 68-64 on the road Sunday to improve to 7-4 overall and 2-3 on the road. The Terriers outscored the Tar Heels 36-28 in the second half to secure the win. Trevor Stumpe paced Wofford with 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting including 4-of-6 from 3-point range plus 3-of-3 at the free throw line. He also accounted for five assists, three rebounds and two steals. Storm Murphy tallied 15 points, five boards and three assists. College Basketball Betting Trends
The Terriers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Thursday games. Wofford is 17-8 ATS in its last 25 road games.
The Blue Devils are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games. Duke is 0-4 ATS in its last four home games.
Aside from a poor performance at home in an overtime loss to Stephen F. Austin, the Blue Devils have been in fine form this season. They have an oustanding offense that is 12th nationally in adjusted efficiency coupled with a defense ranked third in adjusted efficiency. I think it will be all too much to handle for a Wofford squad that is decent, but not quite as good as it looked against a reeling UNC squad last weekend. The Terriers lost by 19 on the road to both Butler and Missouri. The Blue Devils will provide an even steeper challenge. I'm betting on Duke to cover.
