Coyotes earn win at Colorado State
South Dakota moved to 6-5 on the season Sunday with a 68-63 victory at Colorado State. The Coyotes outscored the hosts 38-33 in the second half to post the win. Stanley Umude paced South Dakota with 15 points in 23 minutes off the bench as he shot 6-of-8 from the floor. He also pulled down two rebounds. Tyler Peterson accounted for 12 points, six boards and two steals. Trey Burch-Manning had 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Cody Kelley added 10 points, eight boards and seven dimes. The Coyotes shot 25-of-59 as a team in the win.
Vick scores 29 in win
Kansas stayed unbeaten Saturday afternoon with a 74-71 home triumph over Villanova. The Jayhawks (9-0) shot 23-of-46 from the floor in the victory, while holding the Wildcats to 24-of-59 shooting including 8-of-28 from 3-point distance. Lagerald Vick poured in 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting plus 8-of-10 at the charity stripe to lead the way. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Dedric Lawson contributed 28 points plus 12 rebounds, while Devon Dotson had 11 points and two boards.
College Basketball Betting Trends
South Dakota
The under is 8-0 in the last eight Coyotes games overall. South Dakota is 16-6-1 ATS in its last 23 road games.
Kansas
The over is 9-3-1 in the last 13 Jayhawks games overall. Kansas is 4-0 ATS in its last four games versus the Summit Conference.
Prediction:
In its last five games, the Jayhawks have won twice in overtime and two other times by a combined six points. The other contest was a blowout 72-47 win against a fairly talented Wofford squad. I think with all the close calls, Kansas is due for another big win. I don’t see any reason why this game stays close. South Dakota defeated a lousy Colorado State squad and three of its five losses are to teams well outside the top 200. Go with the Jayhawks tonight.
