Wildcats upset by host Penn

Villanova suffered a 78-75 loss Tuesday night at Penn as its 25-game winning streak in Big 5 games came to a crashing halt. The Wildcats (8-3) trailed 32-28 at halftime and could not solve the Quakers after the break. Sophomore guard Collin Gillespie paced Villanova with 21 points on 4-of-5 shooting plus 10-of-11 at the charity stripe. He added four rebounds and two steals in the defeat. Phil Booth had 18 points and two assists. Saddiq Bey tallied 13 points, three boards and two steals. Eric Paschall added 10 points and five rebounds.

Jayhawks slip by NMSU

Kansas squeaked by New Mexico State by a score of 63-60 Saturday night in the Jayhawk Shootout. The Jayhawks (8-0) outscored the Aggies 37-32 in the second half to secure the win. Kansas shot 25-of-68 from the floor and 7-of-21 from 3-point range, while NMSU hurt itself by connecting on only 3-of-10 at the free throw line. College Basketball Betting Trends

The under is 9-2 in the last 11 Wildcats games overall. Villanova is 15-6 ATS in its last 21 games overall.

The over is 13-4-1 in the last 18 Jayhawks home games. The over is 9-3 in the last 12 Kansas games overall.

Villanova has shown to be vulnerable this season and was trounced on its home court by Michigan. This is a tougher opponent, but on the road. I can't trust the Wildcats here with the early start. Although Kansas didn't play all that great its last time out either, expect it to be geared up here against a name opponent.
