Tigers win fourth in a row
Auburn (8-1) downed visiting Dayton 82-72 Saturday night as Bryce Brown poured in a game-best 34 points. He shot 10-of-18 from the floor including 6-of-13 on 3-point attempts plus 8-of-9 at the free throw line. Jared Harper added 20 points, seven assists, three rebounds and two steals. The Tigers forced the Flyers into 23 turnovers to offset a day in which the visitors shot slightly better from the floor.
Blazers have three-game win streak snapped
UAB suffered a 94-76 loss at Memphis last Saturday to fall to 6-3 on the season. The Blazers trailed 49-39 at halftime and could not climb back in after the break. Lewis Sullivan paced Alabama-Birmingham with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting plus six rebounds. Zack Bryant had 13 points, four rebounds and four assists off the bench. College Basketball Betting Trends
Auburn
The Tigers are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. Auburn is 0-4 ATS in its last four Saturday games.
UAB
The Blazers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven non-conference games. Alabama-Birmingham is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games overall.
Prediction:
The Blazers are barely a top-200 team, whereas Auburn is looking as good as advertised. The Tigers have blown out several opponents already and I don’t see any reason why they can’t today. The three quality opponents UAB has played have all won by at least 18 points. Take Auburn here.
