Ducks roll past Rainbow Warriors

Oregon raced to an 89-64 home victory last Saturday over Hawaii to improve to 7-2 overall and 5-0 at home. The Ducks outscored the Rainbow Warriors 55-30 in the second half after the score was tied at halftime. Payton Pritchard led Oregon with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting including 2-of-6 from 3-point range plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also dished out 11 assists and grabbed three rebounds. C.J. Walker tallied 18 points and two boards. Will Richardson accounted for 16 points, three assists, two caroms and two steals off the bench. Anthony Mathis registered 11 points and six rebounds. Addison Patterson added 10 points in 15 minutes of action as a reserve.

Wolverines fall short at Illini

Michigan suffered a 71-62 loss Wednesday night at Illinois to drop to 8-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big Ten Conference. The Wolverines were outscored 41-34 in the second half of the defeat. Jon Teske led U-M with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting including 1-of-4 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-1 at the charity stripe. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Isaiah Livers tallied 12 points in 37 minutes of action. Eli Brooks added 12 points, three boards and three assists.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Oregon

The Ducks are 5-0 ATS in their last five Saturday games. Oregon is 10-1 ATS in its last 11 road games.

Michigan

The Wolverines are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 home games. Michigan is 4-1 ATS in its last five Saturday games.

Prediction:

The Wolverines might have been overachieving for awhile, but it is clear they are still a very talented basketball team with veteran presences in numerous spots. While the early start time could hurt the Ducks, their road ATS record lately really stands out for me. The Ducks are elite offensively and we already saw Iowa put up a huge total at Crisler, but since Oregon is much better (though certainly not great) defensively, I see the visitors sticking with U-M basket for basket and maybe even pulling off the upset. Take the points here.
