Blue Hens suffer first loss

Delaware dropped to 9-1 overall and 2-1 on the road last Saturday as it fell 66-56 at George Washington. Collin Goss paced the Blue Hens as he contributed 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Nate Darling accounted for 12 points, six boards, three steals and two asissts. Kevin Anderson added 10 points and five dimes. Delaware was outscored 37-27 in the second half of the defeat.

Wildcats take down Hawks

Villanova earned a 78-66 victory last Saturday at St. Joseph's to improve to 7-2 overall and 1-1 on the road. The Wildcats led 41-25 at halftime before holding off a Hawks rally attempt after the break. Saddiq Bey paced Villanova with 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting plus 8-of-8 at the charity stripe. He also racked up nine rebounds and two assists. Collin Gillespie tallied 20 points and two dimes. Justin Moore registered 14 points and two boards off the bench. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Blue Hens are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Delaware is 2-8-1 ATS in its last 11 Saturday games.

The Wildcats are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. Villanova is 19-6-1 ATS in its last 26 neutral site games.

The Wildcats lost to the best two teams they have played and don't have a win over a top 50 squad yet this season. Granted, the Blue Hens took advantage of a weak schedule to gain their strong start but they should be fired up for this one. Villanova has a date with Kansas at home up next and that could cause it to look ahead. This game ultimately has a lot more value to Delaware and I think it keeps it relatively close against a Wildcats squad that has their soft spots.
