Kansas State vs. Tulsa Prediction
A strong defensive approach has helped the Kansas State Wildcats to a good start this season as they are ranked 16th nationally. Will Kansas State notch a win on the road today to continue its good non-conference campaign?

KSU suffers first loss at Marquette
Kansas State fell to 6-1 on the season in its first road contest as it lost 83-71 Saturday at Marquette. The Wildcats trailed 44-33 at halftime and were unable to muster a comeback after the break. Makol Mawien helped pace KSU with 12 points in 19 minutes of action. Xavier Sneed also scored 12 points to go with three steals. Dean Wade contributed 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Kamau Stokes added 10 points, three assists and two rebounds.
Golden Hurricane edge Cowboys
Tulsa improved to 6-3 on the season Wednesday night at home with a 74-71 win over Oklahoma State. The Golden Hurricanes shot 25-of-59 from the floor in the win and 18-of-21 from the free throw line. DaQuan Jeffries highlighted the win with 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting and 8-of-9 at the free throw line. He also pulled down three rebounds. Jeriah Horne tallied 16 points off the bench with seven rebounds. Lawson Korita accounted for 13 points, seven boards and two steals. Martins Igbanu added 10 points and eight rebounds.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The under is 9-4 in the last 13 Wildcats games overall. Kansas State is 4-1 ATS in its last five games following a straight up loss.
The Golden Hurricane are 6-0 ATS in their last six versus the Big 12 Conference. Tulsa is 4-1 ATS in its last five games overall.
Kansas State's defense is ranked fifth nationally in efficiency, while Tulsa has an offense barely outside the top 100 with a defense that is middle of the pack in Division I. Despite being on the road, I like the prospects of the Wildcats bouncing back here and frustrating the Golden Hurricanes with their aforementioned defense. As long as KSU finds enough buckets, it should be a solid pick here.
