Gators get past Thundering Herd

Florida earned a 73-67 home win Friday night over Marshall to improve to 6-2 overall and 3-1 at home. The Gators outscored the Thundering Herd 48-34 in the second half after trailing by eight at halftime. Ques Glover led Florida with 14 points off the bench on 5-of-9 shooting plus 4-of-7 at the free throw line. He also grabbed two rebounds. Keyontae Johnson contributed 13 points along with five boards and two steals. Kerry Blackshear Jr. tallied 10 points and four caroms. Noah Locke added 10 points and five rebounds.

Bulldogs stay unbeaten

Butler recorded a 67-58 win Tuesday night at Mississippi to move to 8-0 on the season and 1-0 on the road. The Bulldogs led 31-22 at halftime on their way to the victory. Kamar Baldwin highlighted the effort by Butler as he poured in 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting including 4-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 5-of-5 at the free throw line. He also racked up six rebounds and three assists. Sean McDermott added nine points and four boards.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Gators are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games. Florida is 2-7 ATS in its last nine games overall.

The Bulldogs are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games. Butler is 7-2 ATS in its last nine games overall.

Butler is fairly solid on both ends of the court while the Gators often struggle on the offensive end and that could be the difference here on the road with an early start. Florida has the best win between the two teams with a neutral court triumph over Xavier, but I like the Bulldogs to get the job done here and cover the spread on their home court to stay unbeaten on the season.
