Xavier vs. Colorado Prediction
The Colorado Buffaloes have been a tough home team but can they hang with No. 13 Xavier tonight at 8:00PM ET in Boulder?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Musketeers are now 1.5-point road favorites versus the Buffaloes after opening as a 1-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 145.5 but has been bet up to 147.
XAVIER KEY TRENDS: The Musketeers are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games as a favorite, are 4-1 against the number in their last five games coming off an ATS loss, and are 4-1 at the betting window in their last five games overall. They've also been a great non-conference play, going 38-17 against the spread in their last 55 non-conference matchups.
COLORADO KEY TRENDS: Conversely, the Buffaloes have not been a good non-conference play, going 2-5 against the spread in their last seven non-conference games. They're also 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games overall, are 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games and are winless at 0-5 against the number in their last five games coming off a win.
OUR PREDICTION: Colorado has great depth and is experienced. Senior guard Xavier Johnson is averaging 14.4 points per game and senior transfer Derrick White is scoring 14 points a game while shooting 52-percent from the field. Junior guard George King has chipped in with 10.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, while senior guard Josh Fortune is averaging 10.4 points. If Xavier shoots as poorly as it did against Baylor then Colorado will pull off the small upset at home.
