Baldwin lifts Bulldogs to win

Kamar Baldwin scored the game-winning basket with five seconds left Tuesday night in Kansas City to send Butler to a 68-67 victory over Stanford. The Bulldogs outscored the Cardinal 39-38 in the second half of a game that was close throughout. Baldwin paced Butler with 22 points on 10-of-18 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range. He also accounted for five rebounds and two steals. Bryce Nze tallied 13 points and eight boards. Bryce Golden added 12 points, five caroms and three assists.

Rebels have rough night

Mississippi lost 78-37 against Oklahoma State Friday in the championship game of the NIT Tip-Off Classic in Brooklyn. The Rebels trailed 34-15 at halftime en route to the lopsided defeat. Breein Tyree led Ole Miss with seven points on 3-of-11 shooting including 1-of-4 from 3-point distance. He also pulled down five rebounds. Antavion Collum contributed seven points and two boards off the bench.

Prediction:

A lot of times I would bet against the ranked team on the road that is an underdog, especially in a letdown spot after winning a thriller. Add in to that Ole Miss will be highly motivated to bounce back after Friday's debacle. But the Bulldogs are the clear better team here, consistent both offensively and defensively. The Rebels have some offensive struggles, as evidenced in the NIT title game. This game should be close, but I'm betting on Butler to continue its strong season and stay unbeaten with another win.
