Badgers hold off NC State
Wisconsin (6-1) rallied to secure a 79-75 victory at home Tuesday night over North Carolina State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Badgers were down 36-29 at halftime before outscoring the Wolfpack 50-39 after the break. Ethan Happ led the way with 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting plus 11 rebounds and three assists. D'Mitrik Trice contributed 18 points, six assists, three steals and two boards. Brad Davison tallied 12 points, two rebounds and two assists. Aleem Ford added 12 points and three rebounds off the bench.
Hawkeyes stay unbeaten as they edge Pitt
Iowa earned a 69-68 home triumph Tuesday night against Atlantic Coast Conference foe Pittsburgh. The Hawkeyes (6-0) rallied in the second half after trailing 46-40 at the break. Joe Wieskamp led Iowa with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting including 4-of-8 on 3-point attempts. He also pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked two shots. Nicholas Baer accounted for 16 points and five rebounds off the bench. Jordan Bohannon added 12 points, six steals, two rebounds and two assists.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The Badgers are 8-0 ATS in their last eight road games. Wisconsin is 10-3 ATS in its last 13 games overall.
The underdog is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings. The road team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings.
Wisconsin is ranked in the top 17 nationally in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency, while Iowa is 21st offensively but lags back at 70 on the defensive end. Look for the intelligent Badgers to take advantage of those inadequacies. If the Hawkeyes barely squeaked by a Pitt team ranked outside the top 100, I can't endorse them taking down Wisconsin even on their home floor.
