The featured game of the day has No. 1 Michigan State taking on Virginia Tech at 9:30PM ET in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in Brooklyn (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State is favored in the game, as the Spartans have odds of -15.5 points against Virginia Tech. Michigan State is 4-0 on the season and 0-2-1 against the spread while Virginia Tech is 3-1 overall and 2-0 against the spread. This is the first game for both teams on a neutral site. These two have no recent meetings, but MSU is 9-3 against the spread in its last 12 non-conference games.
The other featured game of the day has No. 3 Kansas hosting Towson at 8PM ET (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers, Kansas is favored at home, as the Jayhawks have odds of -17.5 points against Towson. Towson is 3-1 overall, 0-1 on the road and 1-1 against the spread. Kansas is 3-0 overall, 2-0 at home and 2-1 against the spread. Kansas has won its last two meetings with Towson and each covered once.
