Bullock skipping final year at UNC
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) – North Carolina junior Reggie Bullock says he’ll enter the NBA draft.
In a statement from the school Tuesday, Bullock says he’s “ready to take the next step in my career.”
The 6-foot-7 guard averaged 13.9 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 44 percent on 3-pointers. He’s considered a second-round pick in many mock drafts, and coach Roy Williams said in a statement that “our hope is that his decision will work out in a very positive manner for Reggie.”
Bullock’s decision, first reported by Yahoo! Sports, comes less than a week after leading scorer P.J. Hairston announced he would return for his junior year. Sophomore forward James Michael McAdoo has yet to announce his plans for next season.
The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft is April 28.
