Duke is coming off a 32-6 season where it reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Michigan State. The Blue Devils were stacked with talent this season, led by Zion Williamson. However, they couldn’t get the job done. Many of the impact freshmen likely won’t return, but Duke does have the fifth-ranked recruiting class for 2019 as of now. The Blue Devils are seeking their first title since 2015.
Kentucky is coming off a 30-7 season where the Wildcats lost to Auburn in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The team will continue to have big losses to the NBA, but the Wildcats have the seventh-ranked recruiting class right now. Kentucky is looking to win its first NCAA Tournament since 2012.
College Basketball Futures Odds
Michigan State claimed the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles this year while going 32-7. The Spartans reached the Final Four before losing to Texas Tech in the national semifinals. MSU is likely to return the majority of its team, losing only a pair of seniors. Cassius Winston was a Player of the Year finalist and will likely return to lead MSU next season. As of now, the Spartans have just the 22nd-ranked recruiting class.
Virginia broke through this past season, winning its first NCAA Tournament a year after losing to a 16 seed in the opening round. The Cavaliers went 35-3 this past season, winning a regular season ACC title as well. The question will be now, how motivated with UVA be to follow this season up after finally winning a championship. The Cavs have the 24th-ranked recruiting class right now.
