Final Four Public Betting
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – Duke and Kentucky are the clear favorites for Saturday’s Final Four matchups, but is the public backing those two teams as well?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, both Duke and Kentucky are 5-point favorites in their respective games on Saturday in Indianapolis. Duke will be facing Michigan State at 6:09PM ET while Kentucky will face Wisconsin at 8:49PM ET.
In the first contest, the public betting is behind Duke, as the Blue Devils are getting 66% of the wagers against MSU with a -5 point spread. Both teams have been strong against the spread as of late, with MSU going 6-2 ATS in its last eight and Duke going 8-1 ATS in its last nine. The Blue Devils are 8-1 SU against MSU, but the Spartans are 5-4 ATS in those nine games.
For the second semifinal, the public betting is actually behind Wisconsin, as the Badgers are getting 55% of the wagers with odds of +5 against Kentucky. The Wildcats are just 1-3 against the spread in the NCAA Tournament while Wisconsin is 6-3 ATS in its last nine. Kentucky has won its last two meetings with the Badgers, but Wisconsin is 1-0-1 ATS in those two meetings.
