Blue Hose slips past Redhawks
Presbyterian picked up a 73-68 victory Wednesday night at Seattle to advance to the CIT quarterfinals. The Blue Hose (19-15) led 34-31 at halftime and continued to play well after the break. Presbyterian shot 28-of-59 from the floor, 9-of-24 from 3-point range and 8-of-11 at the free throw line. Cory Hightower paced the Blue Hose with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting plus 2-of-2 from 3-point range. He also accounted for 10 rebounds and two steals. Thundering Herd get past Jaguars
Marshall earned a 79-74 home win over IUPUI a week ago to move on to the CIT quarterfinals. The Thundering Herd (20-14) led 40-38 at halftime on its way to the victory. Marshall shot 32-of-76 from the field, 8-of-29 on 3-point attempts plus 6-of-11 at the charity stripe. C.J. Burks led the Thundering Herd with 25 points on 10-of-20 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also notched six rebounds and three assists. College Basketball Betting Trends
The Blue Hose are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 road games. Presbyterian is 13-3 ATS in its last 16 non-conference games.
The Thundering Herd are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. Marshall is 1-6-1 ATS in its last eight non-conference games.
There isn't really a lot of separation between these two teams, although the Thundering Herd have the better best win over a top-100 opponent in Hofstra early in the season. Neither team is very good defensively, but the Blue Hose actually have the much more efficient offense and I believe that will keep them in for the duration. Go with a Presbyterian team that has shown to be road warriors as of late.
