March Madness Public Bettors favor Arizona, West Virginia in Sweet 16

Public favors WVU, 'Zona Thursday

LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - Public bettors aren't shying away from taking West Virginia tonight against powerhouse Kentucky in the Sweet 16.

According to our College Basketball Public Betting page, 60% of public bettors currently back West Virginia +13.5 over Kentucky for tonight's Sweet 16 matchup at 9:45PM ET. The Mountaineers opened as a 14-point dog but the line has dropped a half point at most books.

The only other team that public bettors favor more on Thursday is Arizona, which is a 10.5-point favorite over Xavier at 10:17PM ET. Of the current wagers placed on this matchup, 61% of public bettors favor the Wildcats.

The other two Sweet 16 matchups tonight are more split in terms of public betting. Fifty-six percent of public bettors like Wisconsin to cover as a 6-point favorite over North Carolina at 7:47PM ET, while there's a perfect 50-50 split for the 7:15PM ET matchup between Notre Dame and Wichita State. The Shockers-Irish matchup opened as a pick'em before the line moved up to 2 points in favor of Wichita State.
