Updated South Region Odds
(TheSpread) – The South Region has featured a number of upsets. Here is an updated look at the odds to reach the Final Four in this region.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Florida is the clear favorite, as the Gators have 4/7 odds. Other short odds to win are UCLA (7/2), Stanford (6/1) and Dayton (9/1).
Florida is the top seed in the South. The Gators reached the Sweet 16 by beating No. 16 Albany 67-55, and then beating No. 9 Pittsburgh 61-45. Florida has reached the Final Four Four times in program history, the last time coming in 2007.
UCLA is the No. 4 seed in the region. The Bruins defeated No. 13 Tulsa 76-59 and then went on to beat No. 12 Stephen F. Austin 77-60. UCLA has reached the Final Four 18 times, with the last time coming in 2008.
Stanford is the No. 10 seed in the region. The Cardinal reached the regional semifinals by beating No. 7 New Mexico 58-53 and then beat No. 2 Kansas 60-57. The Cardinal have reached the Final Four twice, the last time coming in 1998.
Dayton is the No. 11 seed in the region. The Flyers opening the tournament by beating No. 6 Ohio State 60-59, then Dayton went on to beat No. 3 Syracuse 55-53. Dayton has reached the Final Four one time, back in 1967.
