Updated MidWest Region Odds
(TheSpread) – The MidWest Region of the NCAA Tournament was expected to be the strongest, but had a few surprises. Here is an updated look at the odds to win this region.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Louisville is favored to win, as it has 11/10 odds. The other odds to win are Michigan (7/2), Kentucky (4/1) and Tennessee (4/1).
Louisville is the No. 4 seed in the MidWest. The Cardinals beat No. 13 Manhattan 71-64 and then beat No. 5 Saint Louis 66-51. Louisville is the defending national champion and the Cardinals have reached the Final Four 10 times.
Michigan is the No. 2 seed in the region. The Wolverines beat No. 15 Wofford 57-40 and then beat No. 7 Texas 79-65. The Wolverines have reached the Final Four seven times, including last season.
Kentucky is the No. 8 seed. The Wildcats beat No. 9 Kansas State 56-49 and then upset top-seeded Wichita State 78-76. Kentucky has reached the Final Four 15 times, with the last time coming in 2012.
Tennessee is the No. 11 seed. The Vols have actually won three games, beating Iowa in a First Four game. The Vols then beat No. 6 UMass 86-67 before beating No. 14 Mercer 83-63. Tennessee has never reached the Final Four.
