West Region Updated Odds


LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The West Region of the NCAA Tournament may be the toughest remaining in the bracket. Here is an updated look at the odds to win this region.

According to the latest oddsmakers, Arizona is the slight favorite to win this region, as it has 5/6 odds. Wisconsin comes in with 3/2 odds while North Carolina has 8/1 odds and Xavier has 18/1 odds. The West Region semifinals and final will be held Thursday and Saturday from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Arizona is the No. 2 seed in the region, but they will have the home crowd in a sense for their remaining games. The Wildcats beat No. 15 Texas Southern 93-72 in the second round and then beat No. 10 Ohio State 73-58. Arizona faces Xavier on Thursday.

Wisconsin is the top seed in the region. The Badgers defeated No. 16 Coastal Carolina 86-72 before beating No. 8 Oregon 72-65. Wisconsin faces North Carolina on Thursday night.

North Carolina is the fourth seed in the region. The Tar Heels defeated No. 13 Harvard 67-65 in the second round and then topped No. 5 Arkansas 87-78. The Heels meet Wisconsin on Thursday.

Xavier is the No. 6 seed in the region. The Musketeers beat No. 11 Ole Miss 76-57 and then defeated No. 14 Georgia State 75-67. Xavier will face Arizona in the regional semifinal.
