PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
As of Thursday morning, the public betting for this contest is behind Campbell. The Fighting Camels are getting 52 percent of the wagers as a big underdog against San Francisco.
Campbell guard Marcus Blank is listed on the injury report for tonight’s game. He is questionable with an undisclosed injury. Burk is averaging 14.8 points per game this season for Campbell. San Francisco is already without guard Charles Minlend, who suffered a season-ending shoulder injury back in January.
San Francisco has picked up wins over Colgate and Utah Valley thus far in the tournament. They are 1-1 against the spread in the two games, failing to cover against Colgate. The Dons are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. San Francisco is putting up 68.8 per game on offense while allowing 69 per game on the road.
Campbell has picked up wins over Miami (Ohio) and New Orleans thus far in the tournament. They also are 1-1 against the spread in the two games. The Fighting Camels are putting up 74.1 per game on offense while allowing 72.9 per game on defense.
It’s hard to know where to lean in some of these games, but neither team has impressive records at the betting window. With the spread so large, I am going to take the points. With this being a tournament semifinal, you expect a competitive game and Campbell has the offense to win outright.
