Saint Louis vs. Louisville Odds


ORLANDO, FL (TheSpread) – No. 4 Louisville looks to have a better showing than it did on Thursday when it takes on No. 5 Saint Louis at 2:45PM ET in the NCAA Tournament.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Louisville is the clear favorite in the game, as the Cardinals have odds of -9 points against Saint Louis. The over/under total has been set at 133 points (View Matchup). These two have not met since 2005, but Louisville has won the last two meetings.

Louisville is now 19-14 against the spread and it has hit the under 16 times. The Cardinals got everything they could handle from Manhatthan on Thursday, but ultimately pulled out a 71-64 victory. The game was tight all the way as Rick Pitino was coaching under a former assistant that knew all his plays. Still, Louisville found a way to get the win in the end despite shooting just 36.4 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from 3-poitn land. Helping in the win was a 42-31 rebounding edge and 15 turnovers from the Jaspers. Russ Smith had 18 points to lead Louisville while Montrezl Harrell had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Saint Louis is 10-19-1 against the spread and the Billikens have hit the under 19 times. The Billikens found a way to get past No. 12 N.C. State on Thursday, 83-80 in overtime. Saint Louis was down 14 points with 5 minutes to play but rallied to force OT and then grinded out the win in the extra session. Saint Louis shot 9 of 18 from 3-point land but was just 12 of 26 at the charity stripe. N.C. State wasn’t much better, going 20 of 37 at the line. That is really what got Saint Louis back in the game. Rob Loe had 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead Saint Louis in the win, while Jordair Jett had 18 points with five rebounds and three assists.
