Updated West Region Odds
In what looks to be the most competitive region remaining, who will emerge as the West Region winner in the NCAA Tournament? Here’s a look at the latest odds.
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Gonzaga is favored to win this region, as the Bulldogs are getting odds of +140 to win. Other odds are Michigan (+175), Texas A&M (+400) and Florida State (+800). The West Region semifinals and final will be held from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Bet on the 2018 NCAA Tournament
Gonzaga is the fourth seed in the region. The Bulldogs had a pair of close calls this past weekend, defeating UNC Greensboro (68-64) and topping Ohio State (90-84) to reach the Sweet 16. The Bulldogs will face Florida State on Friday. Zaga reached the Final Four last year and was runner-up in the tournament. It was the program’s first Final Four appearance.
Michigan is the third seed in the West. The Wolverines are the lowest seed of the four teams remaining. U-M defeated Montana (61-47) and Houston (64-63) thanks to a buzzer-beater on Saturday night. The Wolverines will face Texas A&M on Friday. Michigan is trying to reach its eighth Final Four. It’s last appearance came in 2013.
Texas A&M is the seventh seed in the West Region. The Aggies have picked up wins over Providence (73-69) and second-seeded North Carolina (86-65) to reach the Sweet 16. Texas A&M has never appeared in the Final Four.
Florida State is the ninth seed in the region. The Seminoles defeated Missouri (67-54) and top-seeded Xavier (75-70) to reach the regional semifinal. FSU has reached one Final Four in program history, which came in 1972.
