March Madness East Region Odds
(TheSpread) – The East Region of the NCAA Tournament has a higher number as its clear favorite. Here is a look at the odds to reach the Final Four out of the East.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State is the favorite to win the East, as it has odds of 5/2. Other short odds to win are Virginia (11/4), Villanova (15/4) and Iowa State (6/1).
Michigan State is the No. 4 seed after going 26-8 on the season and 12-6 in the Big Ten, but the Spartans won the Big Ten Tournament and finally are playing up to their potential after dealing with injuries all season. Michigan State has reached the Final Four eight times, six coming under current coach Tom Izzo. MSU’s last appearance in the Final Four was 2010.
Virginia is the top seed in the region, as the Cavaliers went 28-6 on the season and 16-2 in the ACC, winning the conference title in the regular season and the tournament. Virginia has reached the Final Four twice, with the last appearance coming in 1984.
Villanova is the No. 2 seed, as it went 28-4 overall and 16-2 in the Big East, claiming the conference title. The Wildcats have reached the Final Four four times, with the last appearance coming in 2009.
Iowa State is the No. 3 seed. The Cyclones were 26-7 this season and 11-7 in the Big 12, but Iowa State won the Big 12 Tournament. Iowa State has reached the Final Four just once, which was back in 1944.
