Seminoles shut down Cavaliers

Florida State rolled to a 69-59 win Friday night against ACC Tournament No. 1 seed and second-ranked Virginia to advance to the conference tournament title game. The Seminoles (27-6) outscored the Cavaliers 34-28 in the second half to pull away. David Nichols led FSU with 14 points off the bench on 6-of-8 shooting plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also notched five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Phil Cofer tallied 11 points and two boards. Trent Forrest had 10 points, six caroms and three dimes. Mfiondu Kabengele added 10 points plus six rebounds and two blocked shots off the bench. Florida State shot 26-of-46 from the floor, 6-of-16 from 3-point distance plus 11-of-15 at the free throw line.

Blue Devils withstand Tar Heels

Duke avoided a third loss to North Carolina this season as it won 74-73 Friday night in the ACC Tournament semifinals. The Blue Devils outscored the Tar Heels 30-29 in the second half after the contest went into halftime tied at 44-44. Duke shot 31-of-65 from the floor, 5-of-20 from 3-point range plus 7-of-13 at the free throw line. Zion Williamson torched UNC for 31 points in his second game back from injury on 13-of-19 shooting including 2-of-3 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also registered 11 rebounds. R.J. Barrett contributed 15 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two blocked shots. Tre Jones added 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Florida State

The Seminoles are 8-1-2 ATS in their last 11 neutral site games. Florida State is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.

The Blue Devils are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall. Duke is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five neutral site games.

This line seems slightly bloated due to Duke's stature, but as we saw last night it is still a beatable team even with Williamson in the lineup. North Carolina was one shot away from winning as it held the ball on the final possession, but was off the mark. Florida State is red-hot with only one loss since January 21 and seeing it as this big of an underdog is strange. Go with the Seminoles to cover and maybe even win straight up if all the cards align.
