Will Michigan shoot past Tulsa?
Can the Michigan Wolverines find the shooting to pick up a win over Tulsa when the two meet tonight at 9:10PM ET on the NCAA Tournament?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan is the slight favorite in this contest, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -4 points against Tulsa. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 142.5 points. The two meet in a First Four game of the NCAA Tournament from University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio.
Michigan is 22-12 overall, 5-2 on a neutral floor and 16-16 against the spread. Tulsa is 20-11 overall, 2-3 on a neutral court and 14-13-3 against the spread. Michigan went 12-9 in its Big Ten schedule while Tulsa was 12-7 in the AAC.
Michigan is an interesting dynamic, as all of their losses this season have been by double digits. So, when they lose, they lose big. However, after 21 straight games against Big Ten opponents, the Wolverines will welcome a new face. Michigan was 7-4 against the spread in non-conference play and this game means a little more for the Wolverines as the play-in likely won’t help coach John Beilein. Michigan needs the win to really get into the tournament and feel like it has something to build off of for next season. Tulsa doesn’t have the same pressure as a program. Michigan should come out motivated and shoot the ball well and find a way to move on to Friday.
