Tech to be too much for Princeton?
Virginia Tech looks to build off a strong finish to the season when it plays host to Princeton in the NIT Tournament tonight at 8PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Virginia Tech is the slight favorite in today’s game, as the Hokies are getting odds of -3.5 points against Princeton. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 153.5 points. These two meet in the first round of the NIT Tournament today from Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Virginia Tech is 19-14 on the season, 13-5 at home and 18-9 against the spread. Princeton is 22-6 overall, 9-5 on the road and 8-10-1 against the spread. Virginia Tech went 11-9 in ACC games this season while Princeton was 12-2 in the Ivy League.
The Hokies have been a tough out over the last month, as they have covered the spread in seven straight games, going 6-1 straight up in those seven contests. While Princeton has won 9 of its last 10, the Tigers are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six. The athleticism level is going to go up a notch for Princeton tonight when it faces a team that competed with some of the best in the ACC.
