East Region Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The East Region may be the one that is most up for grabs in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Here is a look at the odds for this region.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Villanova is the slight favorite to emerge as the winner in this bracket, as the Wildcats have 9/5 odds. Virginia is right behind them with 9/4 odds while Northern Iowa has 8/1 odds.
Villanova is the top seed in this region, as it went 32-2 on the season and was the champion in the Big East. The Wildcats have reached the Final Four four times in program history, last doing so in 2009.
Virginia is the No. 2 seed. The Cavaliers went 29-3 on the season and won the ACC regular season title. Virginia has reached the Final Four twice in program history, last doing so in 1984.
Northern Iowa is the fifth seed in this region. It went 30-3 on the season and won the Missouri Valley Conference. The Panthers have never gotten past the Sweet Sixteen, which it last reached in 2010.
