NCAA Tournament Odds
The field is set for the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Here is a look at the odds to win March Madness and this year’s championship.
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Villanova is favored to win it all this year, as the Wildcats are listed with odds of 5/1 to prevail. Other short odds to win are Duke (6/1), Virginia (6/1) and Michigan State (15/2).
Villanova is the top seed in the East Region, giving it a chance to play in Boston for the second weekend, should it make it that far. The Wildcats went 30-4 this season, winning the Big East Tournament this past weekend. Nova won the NCAA Tournament in 2016, just its second championship.
Duke is the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region. The Blue Devils are paired with top seed Kansas and third-seeded Michigan State in a stacked region that will conclude in Omaha in two weeks. Duke went 26-7 this season with a 13-5 ACC record. The Blue Devils are looking to win their sixth NCAA Tournament. The last time came in 2015.
Virginia finds itself as the No. 1 seed in the South Region. The Cavaliers will get to finish region play in Atlanta. UVA won the ACC regular season and tournament titles this year, posting a 31-2 overall record. Virginia has never won the NCAA Tournament and its last Final Four appearance was in 1984.
Michigan State, as mentioned, is the third seed in the Midwest. The Spartans open up play against Bucknell, but will play its first two games of the tournament in Detroit. MSU won the Big Ten regular season title and went 29-4 for the season. The Spartans are looking to win this tournament for the third time, with the last title coming in 2000.
