AAC Championship Predictions: Houston vs. Cincinnati 3/11/18

Which team has the edge in the AAC Championship on Sunday, March 11, 2018? Will it be Cincinnati or Houston that comes away with a cover in this 3:30PM ET meeting?

827 Houston +4.5 vs. 828 Cincinnati

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Cincinnati is favored at home in this game, as the Bearcats are getting odds of -4.5 points against Houston. The over/under total for the game has been set at 127.5 points. Today’s game takes place from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida and will air live on CBS.

Houston is coming off a 77-74 win over Wichita State on Saturday and the Cougars have won five straight games while covering in seven of their last nine. Houston is 26-6 overall, 5-1 on a neutral floor and 17-10-1 against the spread. The Cougars are putting up 78.1 points per game this season while allowing 65.2 per game. Rob Gray is putting up 18.6 points and 4.6 assists per game to lead the team while Corey Davis Jr. is adding 13.5 points per contest.

Cincinnati is coming off a 70-60 win over Memphis for its sixth straight win. However, the Bearcats have failed to cover in Orlando this week. Cincy is 29-4 overall, 5-1 on a neutral floor and 16-13-1 against the spread. Cincinnati is scoring 75 points per game while allowing 57.2 per contest. Bet on College Basketball for Sunday, March 11, 2018

These two split the two meetings this season. The home team won and covered in both instances. The Bearcats have won and covered in five of their last seven meetings with Houston. Cincy has been the best team in the conference all season and I expect the Bearcats to get this win today as well. The Cougars have been covering lately and had a nice win over the Shockers, but in a battle of defenses, Cincinnati has the stronger one. The public betting is backing Cincinnati in this one and I think the Bearcats will get the job done as well.
