2015 Southland Tournament Odds
KATY, TX (TheSpread) – The 2015 Southland Conference Tournament will also get started on Wednesday. Here is a look at the odds to win this event.
The Southland Tournament is an 8-team staggered format. There will be two opening games on Wednesday. The winners then advance to play the 3 and 4 seeds in the next round. The top two seeds then await in Friday’s semifinals before the championship is held on Saturday. All games are being played in the Merrell Center.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Stephen F. Austin is favored to win this tournament, as it has 4/7 odds. Sam Houston State comes in with 7/5 odds while Texas A&M-CC has 14/1 odds.
Stephen F. Austin is the No. 1 seed as it went 27-4 on the season and 17-1 in conference play. Stephen F. Austin is the defending tournament champion and a two-time winner.
Sam Houston State is the second seed in the tournament. It went 24-7 on the season and 15-3 in Southland play. Sam Houston State won this tournament twice, last doing so in 2010.
Texas A&M-CC is the third seed this week. It went 18-12 during the season and 13-5 in conference play. Texas A&M-CC is a one-time winner of this tournament, last winning in 2007.
