NEW YORK (TheSpread) – The 2015 Big East Tournament will take place this week from the historic Madison Square Garden. Here is a look at the odds for this tournament.
The Big 12 Tournament is a standard 10-team event that features two opening-round games on Wednesday while the top 6 seeds await in the quarterfinals. The championship will be held on Saturday with all games being played at MSG.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Villanova comes into this tournament as the favorite, as the Wildcats are getting odds of 2/3 to win. Other short odds to win are Georgetown (5/1) and Butler (11/2).
Villanova is the top seed in this tournament, as the Wildcats went 29-2 on the season and 16-2 in conference play. Villanova has only won this tournament one time, which was back in 1995.
Georgetown will be the No. 2 seed in this tournament. The Hoyas went 20-9 on the season and 12-6 in the Big East. Georgetown is a seven-time winner of the Big East Tournament, most of any active teams in the conference. Georgetown last won this event back in 2007.
Butler has the third seed this week. The Bulldogs were 22-9 on the season and 12-6 in conference play. Butler has never won this tournament, but this will only be its second appearance in the tournament.
