Bulldogs win regular season finale
Gonzaga earned an 86-76 home win over Saint Mary’s nine days ago to move to 29-2 overall and 15-1 in conference action. The Bulldogs outscored the Gaels 52-42 in the second half after it went into the break deadlocked. Filip Petrusev paced Gonzaga with 27 points on 8-of-12 shooting plus 11-of-13 at the charity stripe. He also registered six rebounds and three assists. Corey Kispert tallied 20 points and five boards. Killian Tillie registered 13 points, four caroms and four assists. San Francisco cruised to a 72-54 victory over Pacific Saturday in the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference Tournament to improve to 22-11 on the season. The Dons outscored the Tigers 36-19 in the second half to pull away. Charles Minland paced San Francisco with 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 2-of-2 from 3-point distance plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also dished out two assists. Gonzaga
The Bulldogs are 0-4 ATS in their last four neutral site games. The favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
San Francisco
The Dons are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven neutral site games. San Francisco is 5-11-1 ATS in its last 17 games as an underdog.
Prediction:
Gonzaga has had plenty of time to rest up and prepare, while the Dons needed to win Friday and Saturday just to get to this pont. But San Francisco has also played Gonzaga fairly tough this season, losing by only four at home and 17 on the road. Considering the rust factor could be an issue for the Zags, I like San Francisco to be a thorn in their side long enough for this to stay closer than what the spread line says.
