SWAC Tournament Odds
HOUSTON, TX (TheSpread) – The 2015 SWAC Tournament will get started on Tuesday night. Here is a look at the odds to win this event.
The SWAC Tournament is a standard 9-team tournament with one first-round game and the top seven seeds advancing to the quarterfinals. All games will be played at the Toyota Center in Houston.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Texas Southern is favored to win this tournament, as it has 3/2 odds while Alabama State has odds of 11/5 to win. Southern is coming in with 7/2 odds.
Texas Southern is the top seed after going 19-12 overall and 16-2 in the SWAC. Texas Southern won last year’s tournament.
Alabama State is the No. 2 seed. It went 18-9 on the season and 14-4 in the SWAC. Alabama State last won this tournament in 2011.
Southern is the third seed in the tournament. It went 16-16 on the season and 13-5 in the SWAC. Southern was the top seed last year, but lost its first-round game. It last won this tournament in 2013.
