MEAC Tournament Odds


NORFOLK, VA (TheSpread) – The 2015 MEAC Men’s Basketball Tournament gets started on Monday night. Here is a look at the odds to win this tournament.

The MEAC Tournament is a 12-team tournament in standard form with the top four seed getting a bye into the quarterfinals. Opening round games are played today and tomorrow and the tournament eventually concludes on March 14. All games will be held from the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia.

According to oddsmakers at, North Carolina Central is the clear favorite to win, as it has 1/2 odds. Norfolk State has 7/2 odds to win while Maryland-Eastern Shore has 7/1 odds.

North Carolina Central is the top seed in the tournament after going 16-0 in conference play. NCC is also 24-6 on the season. North Carolina Central has won this tournament one time, which was last season.

Norfolk State is the No. 2 seed this week. It went 19-12 on the season and 12-4 in conference play. Norfolk State has won this tournament one time, which was in 2012.

Maryland-Eastern Shore is the third seed, going 18-13 overall and 11-5 in conference play. Maryland-Eastern Shore has never won this tournament.
