ACC Tournament Odds
GREENSBORO, NC (TheSpread) – The 2015 ACC Basketball Tournament gets started on Tuesday with a full set of games. Here is a look at the odds to win this week’s event.
The ACC Tournament is a standard 14-team tournament with two opening round games featuring the bottom four teams. The top four teams have an automatic bye into the quarterfinals while the 5-10 seeds have a bye into the second round. The tournament will conclude on Sunday and all games will be played from the Greensboro Coliseum.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Duke is the favorite to win this tournament with 5/4 odds while Virginia has 9/5 odds. Three other teams come in with 13/2 odds to win this week.
Duke is the No. 2 seed this week after going 28-3 overall this season and 15-3 in the ACC. Duke has won this tournament more than any team in conference history, claiming the title 19 times. Duke last won in 2011.
Virginia is the top seed in the ACC Tournament after going 28-2 on the season and 16-2 in conference play. Virginia is a two-time ACC Tournament winner and the defending champion of the event.
Of the teams with 13/2 odds, Notre Dame is the top seed of the group at No. 3. The Irish were 26-5 on the season and 14-4 in the ACC. Notre Dame is playing in this tournament for just the second time.
