MAC Tournament Odds
CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The 2015 MAC Tournament will get underway later tonight. Here is a look at the odds to win this competitive mid-major tournament.
The MAC Tournament is a 12-team competition with a staggered format. The top two seeds start in the semifinals while the third and fourth seeds are in the quarterfinals. The remaining eight seeds have to win two games just to reach the other four teams. The opening round games take place tonight on campus seeds then the remainder of the tournament will be held at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Buffalo is the favorite to win this tournament, as it has 11/10 odds. Central Michigan has the next shortest odds at 5/2 while Toledo has 5/1 odds.
Buffalo is the second seed in the tournament, starting in the semifinals. The Bulls were 21-9 on the season and 12-6 in the MAC. The Bulls have never won this tournament in 15 appearances.
Central Michigan is the top seed this week, also starting the semifinals. The Chippewas are 22-7 on the season and 12-6 in the MAC. CMU has won this tournament two times, last doing so in 2003.
Toledo is the No. 4 seed, starting in the quarterfinals. The Rockets are 19-12 on the season and 11-7 in the MAC. Toledo has won this tournament one time, which was back in 1980.
