North Carolina vs. Duke Free Pick

College Basketball Picks and Predictions 3/5/16 – North Carolina vs. Duke

Can No. 8 North Carolina exact some revenge today when it hits the road to face No. 17 Duke at 6:30PM ET on ESPN?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, North Carolina is a slight road favorite, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -1 point against Duke. The over/under total for the game has been set at 160.5 points.

Duke is 22-8 on the season, 11-6 in the ACC, 15-2 at home and 13-4-2 against the spread. North Carolina is 24-6 overall, 13-4 in the ACC, 5-5 on the road and 12-17-1 against the spread. Duke has won four straight against UNC, covering the three of the four wins. The Blue Devils picked up a 74-73 win at UNC back on Feb. 17.

Who does the public like in this game?

North Carolina remains a tough team to predict as the Heels haven’t won more than two straight in the last month. The Heels are coming off a 75-70 home win over Syracuse in which they weren’t overly impressive. Duke hasn’t been much better, going 2-2 since beating UNC while going 1-2-1 against the spread in those four. The Blue Devils are still without Amile Jefferson, which keeps them thin in regards to depth. That will catch up with them today against UNC, which will be plenty motivated to hand Duke a home loss like the Blue Devils did to them. With the spread just one point, feel good about putting your money on the Tar Heels today.
