According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Wichita State is the clear favorite to win, as it has odds of -400. Other short odds to win are Northern Iowa (+600) and Indiana State (+1000).
This is a standard 10-team tournament with two opening-round games and the top 6 seeds in the quarterfinals. The Tournament begins Thursday and runs through Sunday from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
Wichita State is the top seed after going 18-0 in the MVC and 31-0 overall. Wichita State is seeking its third MVC Tournament title, with the last coming in 1987.
Northern Iowa is the No. 3 seed in the tournament and went 10-8 in conference play and 16-14 overall. Northern Iowa has won this tournament three times, the last title coming in 2010.
Indiana State is the No. 2 seed this week. It went 12-6 in the MVC and 21-9 overall this season. Indiana State is a three-time winner of the MVC Tournament, with the last championship coming in 2011.
