According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Iona is the slight favorite, as it has odds of +150. Other short odds to win are Manhattan (+180), Quinnipiac (+550) and Canisius (+550).
This is an 11-team tournament in standard format, with the top 5 seeds having a bye into the quarterfinals. Three opening round games take place Thursday with the finals on Monday night. All the games are played from the MassMutual Center.
Iona is the top seed in the tournament after going 17-3 in conference play and 20-9 overall. Iona has won this tournament eight times, including last year.
Manhattan is the No. 2 seed after going 15-5 in conference play and 22-7 overall. Manhattan is a four-time winner of this tournament, with the last one coming in 2004.
Quinnipiac is the No. 3 seed in this tournament. It went 14-6 in the MAAC while going 19-10 overall. Quinnipiac is seeking its first MAAC Tournament title.
Canisius is the No. 4 seed. It went 14-6 in the MAAC and 20-11 overall. Canisius has won this tournament one time, with that title coming in 1996.
