Cavaliers stun Blue Devils

Mamadi Diakite hit the go-ahead shot with 37 seconds remaining Saturday at home versus Duke to lift Virginia to a 52-50 victory. The Cavaliers (21-7, 13-5 Atlantic Coast Conference outscored the Blue Devils 27-25 in the second half en route to the triumph. Diakite contributed 14 points and five boards. Braxton Key added 14 points, eight caroms, two assists and two blocks.

Hurricanes fall at Yellow Jackets

Miami lost by a score of 63-57 Saturday night at Georgia Tech to drop to 14-14 overall and 6-12 in conference action. The Hurricanes trailed 40-24 at halftime and were unable to rally all the way back. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Cavaliers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games overall. Virginia is 12-5-1 ATS in its last 18 Wednesday games.

The Hurricanes are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games. The underdog is 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings.

The Cavaliers had been taking advantage of a weak portion of their schedule, but then legitimized everything with the stunner over Duke. But after winning a lot of close games against subpar opponents plus the letdown factor after defeating the Blue Devils, I'm taking the Hurricanes here. Miami has been solid at home as of late and is looking to end its regular season with some momentum. I'm taking the small dogs here.
