Aggies struggle on road

Texas A&M lost by a score of 64-50 Saturday at LSU to fall to 14-14 overall and 8-8 in Southeastern Conference action. The Aggies trailed 28-20 at halftime and continued to fall behind further after the break. Savion Flagg paced Texas A&M with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting including 5-of-6 from 3-point distance. He also pulled down four rebounds. Josh Nebo added 11 points, nine boards and two assists.

Tigers fall at Wildcats

Auburn lost by a score of 73-66 Saturday at Kentucky to drop to 24-5 overall and 11-5 in conference play. The Tigers were outscored 33-29 in the second half of the defeat. J'Von McCormick led Auburn with 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point range plus 1-of-5 at the charity stripe. He also grabbed two rebounds. Austin Wiley added 10 points, 12 boards and two blocked shots.

Auburn has not lost at home this season, but it is also a team that has not exactly been blowing teams out home or away. The last team it defeated a team by as many points as this spread is wide was back on January 22. The Aggies might be the weakest team the Tigers have faced since playing Vanderbilt at home back on January 8, but even that contest was a close decision. I'd rather side with Texas A&M here than bet on a squad that has lacked a knockout punch as of late.
