Creighton picked up an 82-69 victory at home eight days ago over Georgetown to improve to 15-13 overall and 6-9 in the Big East Conference. The Bluejays led 40-34 at halftime and pulled away after the break. Creighton shot 29-of-56 from the floor, 14-of-34 from 3-point range plus 10-of-14 at the free throw line. Martin Krampelj led the way with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 4-of-7 from the free throw line. He also grabbed 10 rebounds. Kaleb Joseph accounted for 16 points, three assists and two boards off the bench. Ty-Shon Alexander accounted for 14 points, five caroms and two assists. Golden Eagles fall to Wildcats

Marquette suffered a 67-61 defeat Wednesday night at Villanova to drop to 23-5 overall and 12-3 in the Big East Conference. The Golden Eagles trailed 32-28 at halftime and could not recover after the break. Marquette shot 23-of-48 from the field, 9-of-22 from 3-point range plus 6-of-10 at the free throw line. Markus Howard paced the Golden Eagles with 25 points on 8-of-19 shooting including 4-of-11 from 3-point distance plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also tallied four assists and two rebounds. College Basketball Betting Trends

Creighton

The Bluejays are 39-18 ATS in their last 57 Sunday games. The road team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.

Marquette

The Golden Eagles are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Big East games. Marquette is 14-5 ATS in its last 19 home games.

Prediction:

We could only hope for a game half as good as the last time they met, a 106-104 OT win by the Golden Eagles in which Howard scored a Big East-record 53 points. But with Marquette coming off a loss, I'd imagine it comes out firing today and doesn't take lightly a Creighton team that is very capable offensively. But the Bluejays struggle on defense and Howard should again be a major problem, leading the way to the Golden Eagles covering.
