Wolfpack roll past Demon Deacons

North Carolina State earned a 94-74 home victory Sunday night over Wake Forest to improve to 20-8 overall and 8-7 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Wolfpack led 41-32 at halftime and pulled away in the second half. North Carolina State shot 31-of-67 from the floor, 11-of-30 from the point range plus 21-of-30 from the free throw line. Markell Johnson paced NC State with 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting including 6-of-9 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also contributed six rebounds and three assists. Jericole Hellems tallied 14 points and two assists off the bench. Torin Dorn accounted for 13 points and 10 boards. Devon Daniels added 10 points, six caroms and five assists as a reserve.

Seminoles top Fighting Irish

Florida State secured a 68-61 home win Monday night over Notre Dame to move to 22-6 overall and 10-5 in the ACC. Devin Vassell paced the Seminoles with 13 points off the bench on 5-of-6 shooting including 3-of-3 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Christ Koumadje tallied 12 points and five boards. Mfiondu Kabengele added 10 points, four boards and two blocked shots as a reserve. Florida State outscored the Fighting Irish 35-28 in the second half after the contest went into the break tied. The Seminoles shot 25-of-56 from the floor, 6-of-19 from 3-point range plus 12-of-17 from the free throw line.

Florida State won't bend nearly as easily and I think this one stays under the high projected total.
