Tech capable of hanging with WVU
Big 12 rivals that are likely heading to the NCAA Tournament will square off at 7:00PM ET tonight on ESPNU when No. 10 West Virginia host Texas Tech.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mountaineers are 9-point home favorites over the Red Raiders while the over/under currently sits at 146 points. (Shop lines for tonight's college hoops games at our NCAAB Betting Odds page.)
Even though Texas Tech has struggled to cover in previous matchups against WVU (1-4 ATS in its last five games), the road team has covered in eight of the last nine meetings between these two teams. The Red Raiders are also 5-1 against the spread in their last six games and have cashed in eight of their last 11 games following an ATS win.
Despite having their five-game losing streak snapped when they shot just 31.6 percent at Kansas on Saturday, the Red Raiders should have plenty of confidence that they can hang with the Mountaineers tonight. They still have plenty to play for and with WVU coming off back-to-back wins by double digits, the Mountaineers are due for a close call.
