Huskies earn share of Pac-12 title
Washington picked up a share of the Pac-12 regular season championship Saturday night with a 64-55 home win over Colorado. The Huskies 22-5, 13-1) grabbed a 35-27 halftime advantage and held on from there. Washington shot 24-of-57 from the floor, 8-of-20 from 3-point distance and 8-of-14 from the free throw line. Matisse Thybulle paced the Huskies with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting including 2-of-4 from 3-point range plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also contributed six steals, five blocked shots and three rebounds. Jaylen Nowell accounted for 12 points, five boards and two steals. David Crisp added 10 points and three assists.
Bears falter at Sun Devils
California stayed winless in Pac-12 play Sunday night with a 69-59 loss at Arizona State to drop to 5-22 overall and 0-15 in conference action. The Bears were outscored 41-25 in the second half of the defeat. Cal shot 20-of-54 from the field, 9-of-20 from 3-point range and 10-of-12 at the free throw line. Matt Bradley paced the Bears with 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting including 5-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-2 at the charity stripe. He also pulled down 10 rebounds. Paris Austin added 10 points, three dimes and two rebounds.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The Huskies are 4-0 ATS in their last four Thursday games. Washington is 12-2 ATS in its last 14 Pac-12 games.
The Golden Bears are 1-6 ATS in their last seven Thursday games. Cal is 5-14 ATS in its last 19 games overall.
Washington can clinch the outright Pac-12 title tonight, so I don't think it will be a situation where it comes in lacking energy. Cal played great in the first half Sunday night, but showed its true colors after the break. I think this one has blowout written all over it as these two teams have opposite-looking records for good reason.
