Razorbacks drop fifth in a row

Arkansas could not hang with visiting Texas A&M Saturday night in what ended as an 87-80 defeat. The Razorbacks (14-13, 5-9 Southeastern Conference) were outscored 49-43 in the second half of the defeat. Arkansas shot 30-of-63 from the field, 5-of-22 from 3-point distance plus 15-of-21 at the free throw line. Daniel Gafford paced the Razorbacks with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting plus 5-of-7 at the charity stripe. He also notched 13 rebounds and three blocked shots. Isaiah Joe contributed 20 points, six boards and two assists. Mason Jones added 11 points and four dimes off the bench.

Wildcats blow past Tigers

Kentucky raced to an 80-53 home victory Saturday over Auburn to improve to 23-4 overall and 12-2 in the SEC. P.J. Washington led the Wildcats with 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting including 5-of-8 from 3-point range plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also tallied six rebounds and two assists. Tyler Herro had 17 points, four rebounds and two assists. Ashton Hagans added 14 points and five assists. Kentucky established a 45-31 halftime advantage and continued to pad the lead after the break. The Wildcats shot 30-of-55 from the field, 11-of-24 on 3-pointers and 9-of-12 at the free throw line.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Razorbacks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games. Arkansas is 0-6 ATS in its last six games overall.

The Wildcats are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games. Kentucky is 9-2 ATS in its last 11 SEC games.

Only one of the five games during the Arkansas losing streak has been close and that was at a mediocre Missouri squad. Kentucky is certainly not mediocre and has a laser focus right now, dominating its last two home games since being upset by LSU. I have to side with the much better team here as it has the abillity to blow out anyone on any given night. I'd be more worried about a look-ahead situation with Tennessee if the Wildcats hadn't recently humbled the Vols.
